There isn’t going to be any video from this event. It was the season end for Clubloose ii in Pittsburgh and hanging out and having a good time with the bros seemed way more important than filming. Tim Connolly from Clubloose in New Jersey was in town to shoot photos and hang out, so I new the pics were going to be covered. Plus I had a mission on my hands. Nick Criss had told me I could drive his car and try my hand at drifting. Having ridden in countless cars over the last couple years it was time to see what I had learned. Before we get to that check out the first three photos of Nick Criss, Jesse Colussy, John Wagner and Amber Caldwell driving like badasses.
The fourth and final photo is the most palatable one of the my four or five runs. Haha. I didn’t have any expectations for myself going into it the experience. I’ll full on admit I was a tad nervous. It was a cone course and any risks were limited, but Nick Criss texting me in the days before the event to tell me how excited he was to let me drive his car didn’t do anything to ease my nervous excitement. In the end I guess didn’t do too bad. I kind of have entries figured out and I think that the fundamentals are there. I have a problem with staying in the gas way too hard and spinning out. I’m guessing that is a finesse thing that will take some time to figure out. For only having a grand total of ten minutes seat time I only ran over one cone and blew way off course once so that’s not too bad. Most importantly I had an amazing time driving and hanging out with good friends. Thanks to Nick for letting burn through some tires and being super encouraging while I was terrible all over the track haha. Thanks to Tim Connolly for coming out to shoot pics. You can check out his photography page DMG Photography for more coverage of the event. And huge thanks to everyone that comes out and supports Clubloose ii events. I can’t wait to drive with you guys next year!
